Thanks to the generous support of Oakland Hills Country Club, Orchard Lake Country Club, and The Wyndgate, The Power Company Kids Club continues its mission to promote the emotional, physical, social, and spiritual well-being of at-risk children and adolescents. Through mentorship, weekly programs, and collaboration with parents, schools, and the community, they provide a consistent source of support and guidance for youth in Detroit and Pontiac.
Grants from Eagles for Children were used to fund the 2024 Power in the Park summer program – an initiative that strengthens social behavior, relieves stress, and helps build character in the children they serve. The Power Company sets up its full program directly in local parks, offering outdoor activities, free transportation, meals, and life-skills training in an environment designed to uplift and inspire. Eagles for Children funding specifically covered two full weeks of food and supplies.
The 2024 program served over 4,000 eager, responsive children. Many of these children face food insecurity on a regular basis, especially when school is out. The meals EFC grants funded were critical in ensuring they were nourished and cared for during the Summer.
Eagles for Children is proud to support The Power Company Kids Club and their dedication to nurturing children in need through impactful, community-based programs.
